Official meeting with the Scottish Minister for Business and Employment
Nov 11, 2025

As part of the official visit to Scotland, Business Network Albania (BNA) undertook a significant strategic step to expand international partnerships and strengthen the role of the Albanian economic diaspora.
During the visit, the Founder and Chairman, Mr. Hudi Shehu, was received in an official meeting by Mr. Richard Lochhead, the Scottish Minister for Business and Employment.
The discussion focused on opportunities for building bridges of collaboration between Albanian and Scottish businesses, aiming to assist sustainable economic development through innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and the green economy—fields where Scotland has achieved internationally recognized results.
“The meeting with Minister Lochhead represents a key moment for BNA. He expressed clear support for our mission to connect Albanian businesses and investors with international ecosystems, as well as to empower the Albanian economic diaspora operating in Scotland and beyond,”
- Hudi Shehu, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Business Network Albania

Following this meeting, BNA is working to identify Albanian entrepreneurs and executives in Scotland, as well as Scottish businesses interested in collaboration with Albania.
These steps are part of the organization's vision to create sustainable bridges of economic cooperation, investment, and knowledge transfer, strengthening the role of the Albanian diaspora as a development force.
BNA will continue meetings with representatives of the Albanian community, business owners, and professionals in Scotland, aiming to structure a cooperation platform and build a verified network of partners that represents the best of Albanian entrepreneurship in the diaspora.
This step aligns with BNA's strategy to transform connections into real agreements and to build trust through transparency, international standards, and measurable outcomes.
